I think I am confused about something. I thought I heard that MWSF was on January 7th, which is today. I keep hearing something about the keynote on Tuesday, unless I am misunderstanding something.

Are these two seperate events? Is anything happening today?

What the hell is going on?

my ibook still thinks that the earphones are plugged in, and therefore it won't use it's built in speakers even when i unplug the line of the earphones. i check the system preferences, and it's options are only: "headphones: built in audio." this is annoying!

Ok my wife really relies on her palm pda for work and her palm m125 just died. Her birthday is next weekend and she really needs a new pda.

We just bought a Mac and I am curious as to if Apple has anything that works better than a plam based OS? I would love to buy her an Ipod nano but she needs to be able to enter data away from the computer. Is a palm based OS the best way to go? And if so anyone have any personal suggestions?

Try enableing the timezone in iCal, and set it to the same as your iPod (I would change both to somewhere nearer to my own...)

Yeah, that fixed it. It's a shame the iPod doesn't have more time-zones. You'd think they'd account for Australia! :rolleyes:

They way they have it designed, if you click on "More" at the bottom of each forum section, then you can navigate to that forum. Bonus Tip: There's a groovy bright yellow on mouseover of "More". Check it out. :cool:

My roommate is taking a geography class in college right now. (Just an FYI, he is an older student in his 30's).

His teacher works for google on their maps. He has slipped in class several times saying Apple is working on putting GPS into the iPod. (He, the teacher, knows this because it is what he does full time for Google).

Anyway, this looks like the GPS in iPhoto is not related to the iPod, but eh you never know, iPhoto does work with the iPod in a way now as it is...

Quickly... too much white space while blocking the content in with borders... in general white space is good but if you ruin it with borders it is the opposite.

Everything is too bold... pick a focus. Secondary text should be lighter than primary text... use a dark grey instead and use lighter versions of your other colors for secondary stuff...

I don't know about "often," but you never know until you test the market. The only thing that could potentially drive up the value to real interesting numbers is if it were completely new, as in never unpacked or used, utterly virginal. "Proof," as it were.

I had this same problem. It seems it was due to virtual 'parellels' adapters that are automatically activated. I created separate 'network locations' (in network preferences) for home where airport took preference over ethernet and the the two parallels adapters were deleted. It solved the problem. Good luck!


I am experiencing the same problem with my macbook pro. How do I delete the two parallel adapters?
