Who was asking why MS has to lockdown Windows with an absurd level of protection via WGA? Here is your answer.
If they only spent as much energy locking their browser security down as they did with WGA, there wouldn't be any spyware.

If you've see the keynote stream, then you'll of come across the part where Steve asked some of his employees (marketing, engineer etc..) to stand up and receive a round of applause.
I thought this was quite a nice gesture and it's the first time I have seen this from them.
Good things!! :claps:
I think he does that in just about every keynote. Still a nice thing to do though :)

One of the obnoxious things about WiFi is that in reality you get maybe 1/3 the "connection speed".
So that 300 Mbps 802.11n is really only 100 Mbps on a good day. And 54 Mbps 802.11g is 18 Mbps if you're lucky. (802.11g and earlier are even less efficient, so 54 Mbps will more likely get you 12-15 Mbps.)
So, yes, you will notice a speed difference.
I have a very convoluted home network. The route from Internet to my current primary system is:
Cable Modem --100MbitEthernet--> AirPort Extreme-n --WiFi-n--> AirPort Extreme-n --GigabitEthernet--> MacBook
When I do a speed test over Ethernet, I get 20-25 Mbps. (This is traveling over 802.11n WiFi to cross the house from one AirPort base to a second.) When I do the same speed test over 802.11g WiFi, connecting to the primary base station, 3 feet away from it, I get 10 Mbps.

Does anyone really give a toss about Virtual PC being dead? It was pretty crap anyway.
I don't. It's just one less MS product I have to buy. I'm glad to see it go.

Bloomberg reports (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-03-14/microsoft-said-to-stop-releasing-new-zune-models-as-demand-ebbs.html) that Microsoft is canceling future development of its line of Zune hardware devices...
No, I'm pretty sure Apple canceled the Zune. :D

I have been waiting for a major upgrade to the cinema displays since I got my laptop in June 2006 - since waiting like the rest of you.
I wonder if eventually the iMac will be thinner than the current cinema displays, then they will have to upgrade.
To be honest, it doesn't need to be a major upgrade, take the price down by a third and half the thickness of the screen and I would be happy.
One day my friends...one day

I have an Xbox and a PS2, both on my home network, neither is modded in any way. Is there a way to use either of these puppies to Fold while I am not gaming? With new consoles around the corner (well, in the next year or so), I am less concerned about running the current ones into the ground. It'd be cool if they could at least be put to some use.

I have a lot of HD movies, that I tried transferring to my PS3.
After reading a lot, I decided to transfer via Nulliver Media Link, since I could do it direct since each file was over 4 gb.
After transferring, a typical movie was reduced in size by 1/4. For example, a movie from my mac was 8.6gb, when it arrived to the PS3 it was 1.9gb
Upon replay on the PS3 the movie looks horribly compressed.
Why did this happen?
How can I avoid this, is there another way of transferring large files?
Thanks,
Gabriel

My concern is if you have big fingers, or a poor grip strength, holding the thing will inadvertently set off the buttons if they are on the bezel
<steve>Then get smaller fingers.</steve> :)

Really no need for the DI to be active if it's for a guitar. Just get a passive one.

The additional gestures are pretty nice.
My favourites are swiping to go back in Safari and the swipe to switch Spaces. It feels iOS like in that it's really smooth. A bit buggy too, but that's to be expected at this stage.

I don't think it's the gold contacts, I have cleaned both of them them with some alcohol, so maybe I just need to replace the print head.

Just as coloured folders were dropped and re-introduced due to popular demand, I'd find it useful with certain tasks if icons / folders could be graded according to importance just like the star system in itunes, ie, bigger folder more important smaller less etc.
Granted in day to day tasks it may seem overkill, but combine this with colours & use of "spaces" on a cluttered desktop and I for one would use it often.
